Seacrest Beach Community Grieves the Passing of Hon. Dominick Giordano

Judge Dominick Giordano was born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 27, 1932. Judge Giordano, “Buddy” to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at his summer residence in Lavallette, New Jersey on April 26, 2025.
Visitation services will be Monday, May 5th from 3pm to 7pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6th at 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Clare R.C. Church, 69 Allwood Road, Clifton NJ 07014. Interment to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.
Judge Giordano is the son of Michael and Katherine Giordano (nee Boscia) He is predeceased by his brothers Nicholas and August Giordano; his sister Dolores Baldanza; and his son-in-law, William A. Carey, III. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, the light of his life, Rosemarie “Babe” Giordano, (nee D’Arrigo); his daughters Beverly Carey and Valerie Riggi and his son Dominick Nicholas Giordano; son in law Robert Riggi and daughter in law Michelle Giordano; his six grandchildren William Carey IV, Kimberly Yarnold, Robert Riggi, Anthony Riggi, Tessa Giordano and Josie Giordano and four great-grandchildren Liam Carey, Madilyn Carey, Ariella Yarnold and Aiden Yarnold and his loving nephews and nieces Kathy, Michael, Sal, Joey, Frank, Donna and Ginger and his first cousin Nick Boscia.
Judge Giordano lived and worked in The City of Passaic for most of his life. He was appointed as magistrate to the City of Passaic Municipal Court in 1970 and served in that capacity until 1975. Judge Giordano was admitted to the NJ Bar in 1959. Prior to and following his court appointment, Judge Giordano practiced law for over 50 years in the City of Passaic. He was devoted to public service and held numerous honorary positions throughout his career; UNICO -Passaic NJ Chapter – President July 1, 1970 – June 30, 1971. He also served the City of Passaic’s Boys and Girls Club. He retired from practicing law in 2014.
He was a proud graduate of Passaic High School. He went on to Fairleigh Dickinson University for undergraduate studies and obtained his law degree from New York Law School.
Judge Giordano will always be remembered for his kindness and empathy toward others in both his professional and personal life. A true master of his craft, he loved practicing law. He looked out for everyone. His genuine caring nature will live on with his family who he bestowed upon the same love of the beach, the sea and the Jersey Shore. Judge Giordano summered in Lavallette which eventually became his full-time residence. He had the great fortune of seeing three generations of his family grow up by the sea. To him, there was no greater pleasure.
