Lifeguard Bios




CAPTAIN
Melissa

Melissa is a returning Seacrest lifeguard. She grew up in Toms River and recently purchased her first home there. Melissa first started life guarding at Ocean Beach Unit III for six years and then came to Seacrest for the past seven years. During the winter Melissa is a teacher for the Cranford Public Schools as a seventh grade Language Arts teacher, but of course, lives for the beautiful summers at Seacrest Beach.


Chris

Chris is a seven year returning Seacrest lifeguard. Chris is originally from Richmond, Virginia and currently resides in Ocean Beach Unit II. Chris first started life guarding at Chadwick Beach for three years, then he came to Seacrest for the past four. Chris is an avid photographer and sailor during his off time, and is looking forward to another great summer.


Kevin

Kevin is a returning third year Seacrest lifeguard. Kevin grew up in E.Brunswick, but currently spends his winters in Hawaii, where he attends the University of Hawaii for a masters degree in International Relations. Living in Hawaii during the winter allows Kevin the best of both worlds, Seacrest in the summer and Hawaii in the winter.


Rob

Rob is a returning Seacrest lifeguard. He grew up in Clifton and Seacrest during the summers. He currently is going to OCC during the winter months while living in Seacrest Beach and spends most of his time surfing. Rob is excited to be back at Seacrest for a second great summer.


Marc

Marc is a returning Seacrest life guard. He grew up in Brick, and currently goes to Ramapo College. He will graduate this year as a Communications major. This is Marc's fourth summer at Seacrest, and this summer he works four days because he works for NBC in Englewood in T.V. and commercials.


Alyssa

Alyssa is a new addition to Seacrest, but of course not a stranger. Alyssa grew up in Nutley and summered in Seacrest her whole life. She currently goes to Siena College, where she is a D1 softball player and will graduate in 2012 with an English major. Alyssa is excited about her first summer life guarding in Seacrest.


Jay

Jay is a new addition to the Seacrest Beach Lifeguards. He grew up in Rumson and currently resides in Ortley Beach. He has guarded for the past ten years at Island Beach State Park where he was a Sergeant. During the winter months Jay surfs and delivers private yachts to various ports.
